Happy New Year!

Carrie and Lincoln and I went to the "ball drop" in downtown MD. What
a hoot. Lincoln slept through his first newyears celebration. The
picture, if it comes through, will only be recognizable if you were
there.

Happy New Year to you and yours from Lincoln.

Lincoln's first road trip

Lincoln's first road trip

On The Road

as luck would have it we were able to get on the road a few days early. We are driving down highway 10 in our big old suv.
It is Christmas morning and Lincoln is soundly sleeping in his
car seat. Nilla is in the way back looking over the seat keeing a eye on Lincoln. The car is packed to the brim, only because the entire back was reseved for Nilla. Which means the quinny buzz, pack n play, and bouncer are in the front! That dog sure is spoiled. The drive which is usually 7 hours, might be a few more. We plan to stop several times. More on our road trip later.

Well Baby

Today was Lincoln's 2 week check up. He was a champ, and gave the tech a shower when he was being weighed! Funny for all, expect for the tech. Little Lincoln is back up over 7.5 pounds! After 30 minutes and 3 diaper changes we were able to put him back in his outfit and go home! What a day, Lincoln is very sleepy now. I hope that he sleeps more tonight!

That's how we roll!

Super big day! First walk in the Quinny Buzz. Holy cow is that thing a smooth ride. I just wish we'd remembered the cup holder. And, of course, he slept through the whole thing. Sleeping is awesome!

Lincoln's First Trip to the Gulf

A few months back Mike decided that we should make a trip to the Gulf of Mexico before Lincoln was a week old. A noble goal with a newborn I think. Since the days all blend together we were running out of time. The weather has been rainy since we brought him home last Thursday. Today the weather finally broke and the sun came shining down. The temps were a little chilly, but this was our chance. So we drove down to the Okaloosa Beaches just before sunset to enjoy Lincoln's first sandy sunset on the beaches of the Gulf.
Here is the link for the video of the first beach trip.

Big day out!

Big day for lil Lincoln yesterday!

A trip to base to get registered. A trip to panera for a chance to
sleep through lunch. A stop for groceries. All topped off with a
chance to nap through most of the night.

Clean as a Whistle!

Somebody just took his first bath! Now that he's "being productive" on a regular basis, he's probably going to need even more of these 'bath' things. At least he slept through the whole thing.

Mom and Dad each logged over six hours of sleep last night! How awesome is that?!

Special thanks to his Aunt Dee for recent contributions to overall family mental health.

Happy Birthday Li'l Lincoln!!

Even though the post is a little late (and you'll forgive a couple of newbie parents for not finding time on the day of delivery to send pics and emails, make a thousand phone calls, keep a new little person alive, find time to see a few patients, AND post the blog), the little guy was right on time! His "by-dates" due day was 09Dec2009...and that's when he jumped out.
Weighing in at a respectable 7.25lbs and measuring 18.5 inches from stem to stern, he's the tiniest Fountain of whom we are aware (his brother the little-black-cat weighs in at just under 10lbs and His big sister Nilla is an 85lb slobber-monster).
We got his tiny little feet printed and a snazzy birthcertificate handed to us, and bugged the staff until they sent us out a day early.
Mom's doing very well and Lincoln is super-duper sweet.
Pics and videos to follow very soon.
For now, I'm just grateful for the five hours of sleep we each managed last night.
