On the road again...

Sheesh! Back on 10 with a full belly. Home by eight?? At least he's a
good traveler.

These folks are all looking at something. What could it be? Would
you believe that it was a mirror? What a crazy crew!

Party animal

This kid was a champ at the party. As we celebrated my parents 50th
wedding anniversary lincoln slept the night away. Two hours in the
moby wrap then two hours in the bar with a fantastic three piece
band. It was loud, but that baby can sleep! A good time was had by
all at the lakeside inn.

Lincoln got to meet another uncle tonight! How exciting is that?! We got a phone call followed by a face to face skyping with Sr. Don Manolo de Celi del Popinov. Even better than that, Don Manolo (who is visiting this country from his native China) was kind enough to perform a KungFu demonstration! Needless to say, when you are only 7 wks old, that can be pretty scary! Don Manolo took the time to explain to Lincoln that the sort of raw power he had just witnessed should only be used against Evil Ninjas, Outlandishly Large Reptiles/Dragons, or people who lower physician reimbursement by 21% or more.

To this we say, "Vive! Vive, Don Manolo...en sus panalles....con sus sabacos...pa'l otro lado. Siempre, pa'l otro lado. Y por eso tengo el alma....y... por... eso! Vive."

Gracias a Dio por hombres com El. Mi hermano...las pumas.

Action!

We introduced the hanging toys on the bouncy chair! Lincoln loves to
make the chair bounce so the animals move. He is able to track
objects as they move. This chair is a lifesaver!

Two of a kind

These two are both crazy.
Not as crazy as the Velcro on the gro-baby diapers. It takes two
hands to undo it.
That makes changing time a challenge. It is for that reason that they
will not be our diapers of choice. The field has been narrowed!

He loves his stroller. The track on base is a perfect spot to ride.

Buddy loves bubble baths!!

He's getting really good at bath time. Today Lincoln went for a walk
on base, played mariokart with his friends in Michigan, made
cupcakes, and grew so much that his feet hang off the end of his
bouncer! Busy, busy day.

Photo Shoot remote

The remote shutter for my digital SLR is now my favorite tool in my camera bag!  It is amazing, and with its ability to auto focus, I will be able to take pictures of me and Lincoln all the time!  Here is what we got today.

Lock down

After several hours of crazy stimulus Lincoln needs to be swaddled!
With only two of the five magic baby s's he was calm again. Thank you
"happiest Baby on the Block"!

True to the outfit

Yes day two with his awesome cloth diapers! He can now wear his tree
hugger outfit!

Nilla likes to help calm Lincoln down. She is a good helper!

Gro baby gro!

Woohoo! Cloth diaper bonanza began in earnest today, with only one
problem so far.... He needs more butt to fill up the little pants.
Ohwell.

Eyes wide!

Finally a decent night's sleep. Only woke up once or twice and went
right back down. Awesome!

Busy day

Today we only had one car, so we got up early to take mike to work.
Then we ran a few errands including publix! Then out to lunch with
the office staff. After lunch Lincoln, Nilla and I hung out in the
back yard. We did not want such a beautiful day pass us by. I was very
glad that the temps went up to 65 and without a cloud in the sky it
was a perfect winter day in Florida.

Thanks to our friends Cam and Kelly, Lincoln now has this awesome
outfit.

Come Closer

The best photos of babies are those that capture the details.  So I went for the extreme close ups today.  The weather is still cold, but there is not a cloud in the sky.  The sun was shining in the back door, and the light was perfect for capturing the details of Little Lincoln.  He was in and out of sleep for this photo session, but seemed to tolerate it fairly well.

Nilla really likes it when Lincoln is sleeping, but when he cries, she does too!

 

Nobody likes getting older!

It is official Lincoln is one month old. He is finally sleeping,
after a long day of keeping me busy. I think I will take these few
quiet moments to take a nap myself.

Catching some ZZZ's

Lincoln, Mike and Nilla can often be found in this location. Can you
blame them, they all look so comfortable!

Day 27!

Wow! Really!

Holy big week (plus or minus a few days)! First Christmas, First NewYear, First Fountain Function....and all of those new faces to remember. It's not every day that you get to meet your dad's dad's dad's sister (Many thanks to Super Aunt Gert for snuggling the little guy for over an hour)! Uncles and Aunts and Cousins and Second Cousins and ...whew! That's a lot of folks to know when you've only been around for twenty-some-odd days.
