Our first harvest!!!

Love at First Bite

Yes we gave Lincoln his first taste of real food.  Not the kind that you buy in a jar.  This is fresh from the skin food.  Smashed and served.  I think he might have even liked it.  Of course we did not give him much, but he did not spit out what we gave him.  We took that as a good sign and will try again with a little more next time.

I think I got a few keepers.  Self portraits with a baby?  difficult to say the least.

Growing garden

Things are really growing! Hard to see in the picture, but we have
some beans. Tomatoes plants are getting big, and I think we are just a
couple of weeks from some baby spinach!

Okay so this one is going to have a lot of pictures.  We were out in the back yard and I snapped a few good pictures.  Enjoy!




He has this bear, he is soft, and Lincoln loves to play with him.

He really does not mind having his picture taken.  I guess that is a good thing, since after only 4 months we have about 3,646 pictures of him.  Just under a 1000 a month!  Not too bad.

Once we were back inside, Lincoln had a little more tummy time.  He is getting really good at it and actually enjoys trying to crawl....sometimes.

As you can see from the video we are still missing a few letters on his ABC wall. Slowly but surely we will get them all done.

Just another day a the office!

Writers block

On a recent visit to the office, lincoln was in the mood for a bit of
writing. Turns out once he finally found a pen he could not think of
anything to write!

Shopping check

Just left the mall. Mission accomplished hat for Lincoln!

Soothing sounds

We quickly found out the other night that Lincoln loves the banjo.  He was sitting on my lap when Mike started to play, within a few minutes he was mesmerized by the music.  After about 20 minutes he was asleep!  It was really funny to watch him stare at the banjo and Mike playing it.

At four months his eyes are still grey, and his hair... yes, still sort of red!

 

Our beds are made.

We started with three beds, and quickly realized that we were over our heads.  So we dismantled the third bed, and saved our selfs a lot of work.   Now I am starting to plant, and hopefully we will have a good harvest of tomatoes, potatoes, beans, peppers, spinach, carrots, garlic, and basil!

Get ready, get set. Go?

More warm weather

After the trip to the garden center Lincoln and I sat in the backyard
for awhile. He was playing on his quilt, and I was planning the next
step for the garden. I hope to have the beds done this weekend!
Square foot gardening seems to be pretty easy (so far)!
